आज के वचन पर आत्मचिंतन...
यीशु ने अपनी पीड़ा से ठीक पहले प्रार्थना में अपने शिष्यों के लिए जो प्रेम और परवाह दिखाई, वह इस बात का हमारा महान उदाहरण है कि हम उन लोगों के लिए परमेश्वर की आत्मिक सुरक्षा के लिए कैसे और क्यों प्रार्थना कर सकते हैं और करनी चाहिए जिन्हें हम प्रेम करते हैं। प्रभु यीशु जानते थे कि उनके साथ क्या होने वाला है, फिर भी उन्होंने अपने ऊपर ध्यान केंद्रित करने के बजाय उनके लिए प्रार्थना करना चुना। उनके लिए प्रार्थना करना प्रभु के लिए इतना महत्वपूर्ण था! उनके शिष्य दुनिया को छोड़कर नहीं जा सकते थे और फिर भी दुनिया की सेवा नहीं कर सकते थे और परमेश्वर के अनुग्रह के साथ खोए हुओं तक नहीं पहुँच सकते थे। इसलिए, यीशु ने उनकी सुरक्षा के लिए और उनके लिए प्रार्थना की। यीशु का उदाहरण परमेश्वर के शिष्यों को शैतान से बचाने के लिए प्रार्थना करने की हमारी आज्ञा है (मत्ती 6:13)। प्रेरित पौलुस हमें याद दिलाता है: "प्रभु विश्वासयोग्य है, और वह तुम्हें सामर्थ्य देगा और तुम्हें शैतान से बचाएगा।" (2 थिस्सलुनीकियों 3:3) हमें प्रभु के उदाहरण का पालन करते हुए प्रार्थना करनी चाहिए!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Jesus, in showing his love and care for his disciples in prayer right before his Passion, is our great example of how we can and must pray for God's spiritual protection over those we love. The Lord Jesus knew what would happen to him, yet chose to pray for them rather than focusing on himself. Praying for them was that important to the Lord! His disciples could not leave the world and still serve the world and reach the lost with God's grace. So, Jesus prayed protection over them and for them. Jesus' example is our command to pray for God to protect his disciples from the evil one (Matthew 6:13). The apostle Paul reminds us:
The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:3)
We need to pray following the Lord's example!

My Prayer...
Loving and Tender Shepherd, the great Guardian of the Flock, please physically and spiritually protect your people from evil and the evil one. We trust in your faithfulness to strengthen and protect them. In the name of Jesus and following his example, we offer ourselves and our prayers to you. Amen.
