在当今这个“互相挤兑”的世界里，当我们因争竞“高位”而将成群的竞争者踏至谷底时，神告诉我们：“住手”，“灾祸来了”！他让我们停止这样的行为，让我们认识到，天国的价值与世界的价值是不同的——不服务他人就不可能成功。神也警告了我们，如果我们无视神的价值观而将我们自己置于他人之上，或是为了追求成功而不惜牺牲道德的话，他将使我们遭遇灾祸！
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Our verses are chosen this year based on their alignment with the date. So, 2/9 means we found a verse reference that is February 9 — thus Habakkuk 2:9. This challenges us to do more than "cherry pick" our favorite verses and seek to hear all of God's words about holiness and Christ-likeness.
In our "dog eat dog" world, in our race to get to the top and leave all our rivals in the dust behind us or at the bottom of the bin of failure, God tells us both "Whoa!" and "Woe!" He tells us to stop ("Whoa!") and realize that Kingdom values are different from worldly values — that there is no success without service in godliness. He also warns us ("Woe!") that he will bring us to ruin if we ignore his values by placing ourselves above the well-being of others or pursuing our success at the cost of our ethics.

慈爱、全能、公义的神啊，请加添我力量，使我能够抵挡试探，不至以欺压、欺骗和谎言来获取成功。亲爱的天父，我真心希望自己能够成为一个正直的人、一个品格高尚的人、一个能带给人祝福的人。请帮助我看清自己内心所隐藏的一切诡诈，也愿主帮助我恩待他人，就像你恩待了我一样。奉主耶稣基督圣名祈求，阿们！
My Prayer...
Gracious, almighty, and righteous God, please strengthen me so that I can resist the temptation to exploit, cheat, and lie to get ahead. Dear Father, I truly want to be a person of integrity, character, and blessing. Please help me see any duplicity in my heart. I want to treat others as you have so graciously treated me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
