Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Für mich ist es sehr einfach, zuerst an meine Bedürfnisse und an meine Sicherheit zu denken. Ich möchte nicht selbstsüchtig sein, doch wenn ich meine Zeit investiere, fällt es mir leicht, das aus MEINER Perspektive zu tun. Doch beim Volk Gottes ist die Perspektive des “wir” und “uns” die Wichtigste und nicht die des “mir” oder “meins”. Damals hatten die östlichen Stämme Israels ihr versprochenes Land als erste erreicht. Aber sie sollten nicht aufhören zu kämpfen oder sich in ihrem Land niederlassen, bis das ganze Volk Gottes in dem ihm zugeteilten Land in Sicherheit war. Das gleiche gilt heute für uns im Reich Gottes. Wir sollten nicht nur auf unsere Bedürfnisse, sondern auch auf die Bedürfnisse unseres Bruders und unserer Schwester in Christus schauen.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
I find it so easy to think of my needs and my safety first. I don't want to be selfish, but when it comes to making decisions about the investment of my time, it's so easy for me to see things only from MY perspective. But with God's people, it's a "we" and "us" perspective that is important, not a "me" and "mine" perspective. The Eastern tribes of Israel had reached their Promised Land. But they were not to quit the fight and settle there until all God's people were safely in their homeland. The same is true for us in God's Kingdom today. We are to look not only to our needs, but also to those of our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Mein Gebet
Liebender Vater, bitte schenke mir ein gnädiges und großzügiges Herz, damit ich heute deine Liebe einem kämpfenden Bruder oder einer Schwester besser darstellen kann. Im Namen Jesu bete ich. Amen.

Loving Father, please give me a more gracious and generous heart so that I might better demonstrate your love to a struggling brother or sister in Christ today. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
