Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Wir sind in Gottes Bild gemacht worden. Nicht nur der Mann. Nicht nur die Frau. Beide - das Männliche und das Weibliche sind als Abbild Gottes gemacht worden! Erstaunlicherweise gilt diese Wahrheit nicht nur vor dem Sündenfall. Selbst als uns Gott im Leib unserer Mutter formte (Ps.139,13-16), entsprachen wir seinem Bild (1 Mo.9,6). Weil wir Menschen Gott enorm wertvoll sind und weil wir etwas vom Charakter unseres Schöpfers widerspiegeln, ist jeder Mensch zu würdigen. Kein einziger Mensch sollte verunglimpft, geächtet oder verflucht werden (Jak.3,9-12). Menschen sind kostbar - nicht nur für Gott, sondern auch für uns -, weil jeder auf seine Weise dem Bild Gottes entspricht.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
We were made in God's image. Not just the man, the male. Not just the woman, the female. Both males and females are made in God's image! They are each precious to God. Incredibly, this is not just true before the Fall before sin entered the world and made a mess of everything. When God made us and knew us in the womb of our birth mother (Psalm 139:13-16), he made us in his image (Genesis 9:6). Because people are precious to God because we each reflect something of the character of our Creator, each person is to be valued. None is to be denigrated, belittled, or cursed (James 3:9-12). People are precious, not only to God but also to us because, in some special way, each of us reflects the multifaceted nature and image of God.
Mein Gebet
Allmächtiger Schöpfer! Hilf mir, den Wert jeder einzelnen Person, der ich heute begegne, zu erkennen und mir bewusst zu sein, dass du sie alle als Träger deines Charakters und Wesens geschaffen hast. Segne mich gleichzeitig mit Wachstum im Geist und dass ich mich bewusst deinem Geist hingebe, damit er mich täglich verändert und dir ähnlicher werden lässt. In Jesu Namen bete ich. Amen.
My Prayer...
Almighty Creator, please help me value each person I meet today and each day going forward. I want to value them because I am consciously aware that you have individually and uniquely made each of them to reflect your character and nature. At the same time, bless me with spiritual growth as I consciously submit myself to your Spirit as you transform me to be more like you each day (2 Corinthians 3:18). In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
