Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Gott führte die Israeliten durch seine Liebe und Gnade in wundersamer Weise mitten durch den überfluteten Jordan, um seine Verheißungen zu erfüllen. Er machte aber auch eine wichtige Aussage über sich selbst und sein Volk. Er wollte, dass Israel ihn für alle Zeit verehrt. Außerdem wollte er, dass die Feinde Israels vor Angst erzittern. Das taten sie auch. Und wegen des Glaubens von Josua errang Gott einen großen Sieg für sich und sein Volk.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The Lord brought the Israelites miraculously through the Jordan River during the flood season because of his loving grace and to fulfill his promises to his people. He was also making an important statement about himself to his people. He always wanted Israel to "reverence" him. In addition, he wanted Israel's enemies to quake with fear. They did. God won a great victory for himself and his people because of their faith.
Mein Gebet
Heiliger und majestätischer Gott, du bist mit Gerechtigkeit gekleidet und mit Herrlichkeit überströmt. Ich möchte dich immer mit Respekt und Ehrfurcht behandeln, so wie du es verdienst. Bitte verzeih mir die Zeiten, in denen ich dich nicht so respektiert oder verehrt habe, wie du es verdient hast. Verzeih mir, wenn ich deinen Namen nicht genug als heilig gewürdigt habe, als andere ihn missbraucht haben. Du bist meines Lebens, meiner Liebe, einfach Allem würdig. Ich möchte dich jetzt und für immer preisen. Im Namen Jesu bete ich. Amen.
My Prayer...
Holy and majestic God, you are clothed in righteousness and bathed in glory. I want to always treat you with the respect and reverence you deserve. Please forgive me for the times when I was not as reverent or respectful of you as you deserve. Forgive me when I didn't hold your name up as holy when others were using it in vain. You are worthy of my life, my love, and my all. I want to bring praise to you now and forever. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
