Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Jesus ist der lebendige Leiter und Haupt seiner Gemeinde. Kein Mensch hat Anspruch auf dieses Recht. Niemand außer Jesus hat diese Stelle verdient. Jesus ist der Höchste. Auch wenn ihm seine Vorherrschaft durch seine Göttlichkeit rechtmäßig gehört, so hat er sie auch durch das verdient, was er für uns getan hat. Er existierte vor Grundlegung der Welt. Er war der Schöpfer von allem und ist derjenige, der für uns siegreich durch den Tod ging.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Jesus is the living leader and head of his church. No person can rightfully fill this role. No one but Jesus has earned this position. Jesus is supreme. Even though supremacy is rightfully his because of his divinity, he has earned this supremacy through what he accomplished for us on the cross, in his burial, and through his resurrection. He was alive before there was a beginning. He was the Creator of all that is. He was the one who passed through death victoriously for us. He is the beginning so that he might have supremacy in everything!
Mein Gebet
Herr Jesus, ich bitte dich, die Kontrolle über deine Kirche – deinen Leib – zu übernehmen. Bitte verherrliche dich selbst in uns und durchdringe die Herzen unserer Leiter mit deinem Willen. Durch unsere Einheit und unsere Hingabe an dich, möchten wir deine Vorherrschaft in der Welt erkennbar machen. Und, Heiliger Gott, verherrliche dich selbst in Jesus durch die Gemeinde. Dir, Herr Gott, und deinem Sohn und unserem Heiland Jesus, sei alle Ehre, Herrlichkeit und Preis jetzt und in alle Ewigkeit. Amen.
My Prayer...
Lord Jesus, I ask you to take control of your Church, your Body. Please glorify yourself in us and permeate our leaders' hearts with your will. We want the world to see your supremacy because of our unity and devotion to you. And Holy God, please glorify yourself in Jesus through the Church. To you, Lord God, and to your Son and our Savior Jesus, be all honor, glory, and praise, now and forevermore. Amen.
