Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Wie oft hast du am Grab eines vor kurzem verstorbenen Freundes oder geliebten Menschen gestanden? Wann hast du zum letzten Mal Trauer wegen der Trennung von einem Menschen, den du geliebt hast, empfunden? Ich weiß nicht, wie es dir damit geht, aber ich bin sehr dankbar dafür, dass die Bibel den Tod als einen der Feinde Jesu bezeichnet. Ich bin dankbar dafür, dass er den Tod bzw. den Verlust und die Trennung, die der Tod mit sich bringt, hasst – sogar noch mehr hasst als ich es tue. Ich freue mich wissen zu dürfen, dass der Tod zerstört und den Kindern Gottes die Unsterblichkeit und das Leben gegeben wird!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
How many times have you stood over the grave of a recently departed friend or loved one? When was the last time you tasted grief and separation from someone you dearly loved? I don't know about you, but I am so thankful that the Bible identifies death as one of Jesus' enemies. I am thankful that he hates death, and the damage and separation it causes, even more than I do. I am filled with joy to know that death will be destroyed and immortality and life will be given to the children of God!
Mein Gebet
Heiliger Vater, mögest du mit Leben und Barmherzigkeit im Leben derer triumphieren, von denen ich weiß, dass sie mit dem emotionalen, geistlichen und physischen Tod ringen. Mögest du durch deine Macht und Gnade in ihrem Leben triumphieren. Ich freue mich auf den Tag, an dem der Tod nicht mehr sein wird. Herr Jesus, das bete ich nicht nur in deinem Namen, vielmehr bitte auch ich dich, diesen Tag alsbald kommen zu lassen. Amen.
My Prayer...
Holy Father, please triumph with life and mercy in the lives of those I know that are wrestling with emotional, spiritual, and physical death. Triumph in their lives through your power and your grace. I look forward to the day, dear Father, when death is no more. Lord Jesus, I not only pray this in your name, but I ask you to speed this day. Amen.
