Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Wie wichtig ist es dir, rein zu bleiben? Wie wichtig ist es dir, gerecht zu sein? Für David, der mit Begeisterung eine enge heilige Beziehung mit Gott teilte, war es von höchster Bedeutung zu wissen, dass Gott sein Herz bewahrte trotz des großen Schmerzes, Gott jämmerlich enttäuscht zu haben. Er wollte mit dem Bösen nichts mehr zu tun haben. Er wollte auch nicht zum Bösen hingezogen sein. Er wollte sich auch nicht denen anschließen, die böse Taten begingen. Er wollte sogar an den Schwelgereien und Festessen nicht teilnehmen. Was soll uns Gott auf unsere Bitte hin vorenthalten, um uns von dem Bösen fernzuhalten?

How important is it for you to be pure? How important is it for you to be righteous? For David, who had experienced the elation of sharing an intimate holy relationship with God and the utter pain of miserably failing God, guarding his heart was of ultimate importance. He didn't want to have any part of evil. He didn't want to be attracted to it. He didn't want to be a part of those who committed vile deeds. He didn't even want to take part in the luxuries and feasts provided by evil people. What am I willing to ask God to withhold from me to protect my heart from evil?
Mein Gebet
Vater, lass nicht zu, dass ich durch abscheuliche, grässliche oder böse Dinge versucht werde. Schenke mir einen heiligen Ekel vor dem, was falsch und trügerisch ist. Gib mir Klarheit in meiner Sichtweise und Reinheit im Herzen, um das Böse und alles, was damit verbunden ist, zu erkennen, damit ich den Schlingen des Teufels und allem, was deinen heiligen Namen beschmutzen könnte, fern bleiben kann. Im Namen Jesu bete ich. Amen.
My Prayer...
Father, don't let me be tempted by what is vile, hideous, or evil. Please give me a holy revulsion for what is false and deceptive. Give me clarity of sight and purity of heart to be able to see evil and the things associated with it so that I can stay far away from the tempter's snare and the things that would soil your holy name. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
