Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Ich kann mir für heute kein größeres Ziel vorstellen, als den Namen Jesu durch meine Taten und meine Rede zu verherrlichen. Doch Paulus fügt diesem Ziel noch einen weiteren Schritt hinzu: dass wir unsere Ehre darin sehen, mit ihm verbunden zu sein! So wie es in dem alten Kirchenlied “Unter dem Kreuz Jesu” ausgedrückt wird: “das Kreuz ist meine ganze Ehre”.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
I can't think of a more lofty goal for today than that the name of Jesus be glorified in what we do and say. But then Paul took it a step further — we should find our glory by being identified with him! So may Jesus be glorified in each of us today, and may our glory be seen in our walk with Jesus! As the famed old hymn "Beneath the Cross of Jesus" says, "My glory all the cross."
Mein Gebet
Vater der Majestät und Macht, bitte hilf mir bei der Erstellung eines Planes für meine täglichen Aktivitäten. Hilf mir, diese Aktivitäten in der Priorität so zu ordnen, dass ich meinen Fokus und meine Leidenschaft bei allem, was ich tue, denke und sage, darauf richte, dich zu verherrlichen. Im Namen Jesu bete ich. Amen.
My Prayer...
Father of majesty and might, please help me as I strive to plan my daily activities and then prioritize those activities so that my focus and passion are on bringing you glory in all that I do, think, and say. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
