Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Was wir wissen und was wir glauben ist nicht allein ausschlaggebend, wenn es in der Art und Weise, wie wir unser tägliches Leben gestalten, nicht erkennbar ist. Ganz einfach: Ein Glaube, der im täglichen Leben nicht gelebt wird, ist kein Glaube. Er ist nur eine Fassade. So wie Jesus uns lehrte, das von ihm Gelernte in die Praxis umzusetzen, erinnert uns seinen Bruder Jakobus an das Gleiche: Wenn wir die Wahrheit aus den Worten Gottes gelernt haben, bleibt uns nur noch eines zu tun – sie in die Praxis umzusetzen!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
What we know and what we believe are not all that significant if they do not show up in the way we live our daily lives. Pure and simple, faith not lived out in everyday life is not faith; it is facade. Just as Jesus had told us to put into practice what we have learned from him, his brother James reminds us the same thing: when we learn the truth of God's word, there is only one thing left for us to do: put it into practice!
Mein Gebet
Heiliger Gott, hilf mir, das, was ich heute als deinen Willen und deine Wahrheit erkannt habe, in die Praxis umzusetzen. Im Namen des Herrn Jesus, bete ich. Amen.
My Prayer...
Holy God, help me put into practice what I know is your will and your truth today. In the name of the Lord Jesus I pray. Amen.
