“Wir gehören dazu!” Das ist das, was der Apostel Paulus uns mitteilt. Wir sind keine Außenseiter, keine Bürger zweiter Klasse oder emporgekommende Kinder Gottes. Wegen der Gnade gehören wir dazu! Wir sind ein Teil des Hauses Gottes! Das Fundament dieses Hauses besteht aus den Aposteln und Propheten. Der Eckstein des Hauses ist Jesus selbst. Es ist unglaublich, aber wir sind ein Teil dieses heiligen Hauses Gottes. Wir gehören dazu!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
"We belong!" That's what the apostle Paul is telling us. We're not outsiders or second class citizens or "Johnny come lately" children of God. Because of grace, we belong! We are part of God's house! The foundation of that house is made up of the apostles and prophets. The cornerstone of that house is Jesus himself. Incredibly, we are also a part of this holy house of God. We belong!
Mein Gebet
El Shaddai, Gott der Berge und HERR Gott Allmächtiger, der Bundesgott Israels, seit jeher und auch im Wandel der Zeit hat deine beharrliche Liebe dein Volk mit deinen Verheißungen, deiner Gnade und mit deiner Zukunft gesegnet. Ich danke dir dafür, dass du mich aus Gnade durch Glauben in dein Volk eingeführt hast. Danke, dass du mich zu einem wichtigen Teil deines Hauses gemacht hast. Verzeih mir die Zeiten, in denen ich an meiner Wichtigkeit in deinem Werk gezweifelt habe. Erwecke in mir das Bewusstsein, dass ich dir, deinem Volk und zu deinem Haus gehöre. Im Namen Jesu. Amen.
My Prayer...
El Shaddai, God of the mountains and Lord God Almighty, the covenant God of Israel, from age to age your steadfast love has blessed your people with your promises, your grace, and your future. Thank you for bringing me into your people by grace through faith in Jesus. Thank you for making me a vital part of your house. Forgive me for the times that I have doubted my importance to your cause and awaken in me the realization that I belong to you, to your people, and to your house. In Jesus' name. Amen.
