Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Rassen- und Kulturschranken zu durchbrechen ist nie einfach. Gott sei Dank dafür, dass Gottes Geist es uns nicht erlaubt, uns bequem auf unseren Vorurteilen auszuruhen. Statt dessen werden wir herausgefordert, hingeführt und dazu gedrängt, den Rassenhass und kulturelle Ignoranz beizulegen. Lasst uns die Art von Menschen sein, die sich über jegliche durchbrochene Mauer, die uns Menschen trennt, freuen und Gott dafür loben. Lasst uns nicht aufhören, bis die siegreiche Verheißung Gottes in Erfüllung geht: „Hier gibt es keinen Unterschied mehr zwischen Juden und Griechen, zwischen Sklaven und freien Menschen, zwischen Mann und Frau. Denn durch eure Verbindung mit Jesus Christus seid ihr alle zusammen ein neuer Mensch geworden.“ (Gal.3,28)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Breaking through racial and cultural barriers is never easy. Thankfully, God's Spirit doesn't let us settle comfortably into our prejudices. Instead, we are challenged, led, and pushed to break through racial hatred and cultural ignorance. Let's be the kind of people who rejoice and praise God as every barrier dividing people falls. Let's press on until the triumphant promise of the Gospel is fulfilled: "There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male or female. For you are all Christians — you are one in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:28). In doing this, we anticipate the incredible chorus of heaven that praises God with folks from every language, tribe, people, and nation (Revelation 7:9-11).
Mein Gebet
Heiliger Gott, ich bitte dich um deinen Segen für die, die überall die kulturellen, sprachlichen und politischen Hindernisse zu überwinden versuchen, um die Gnade Jesu mit Menschen zu teilen, die dich nicht kennen und deinen Sohn als Herrn nicht ehren. In Jesu Namen bete ich. Amen.
My Prayer...
Holy God, I ask that you bless all those everywhere who are trying to cross cultural, linguistic, and nationalistic barriers to share the grace of Jesus with those who do not know you. Help them know they are bringing you joy and anticipating the praise that surrounds you in glory! In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
