Gedanken zum Vers des Tages
Barnabas war ein guter Mann! Warum? Aus mehreren Gründen. Aber der Hauptgrund ist der, dass er einen starken Glauben besaß und voll des Heiligen Geistes war. Wenn der Heilige Geist in uns wohnt, bringt er die Frucht des Geistes hervor (Gal. 5,22-23) und formt den Charakter Christi in uns (2 Kor. 3,18). Es ist jedoch kein Wunder, dass der Einfluss Barnabas so mächtig im Leben derer war, die in Antiochia wohnten; sein Leben stand unter dem Einfluss des Geistes Gottes!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Barnabas was a good man! Why? For many reasons. But, the key reason was that he was full of faith and the Holy Spirit. This shouldn't surprise us. When the Holy Spirit lives in us, he is at work producing the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and conforming us to the character of Christ (2 Corinthians 3:18). No wonder Barnabas' influence was so great on the lives of those who lived in Antioch; his life was under the influence of God's Spirit!
Mein Gebet
Lieber himmlische Vater, ich möchte, dass mein Leben durch das Evangelium einen guten Einfluss auf das Wachstum deines Reiches hat. Ich gebe mich als ein lebendiges Opfer hin und bitte dich, mich dem Charakter deines Sohnes entsprechend zu gestalten und die Frucht deines Geistes in mir hervorzubringen. In Jesu Namen bete ich. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I want my life to be influential for the good of the Gospel and the growth of your Kingdom. I offer myself to you as a living sacrifice, asking that you conform me to the nature of your Son Jesus and bring forth in me the fruit of your Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
