Pensamientos sobre el Verso de Hoy
Jesús estuvo ahí. Estuvo con Dios en el principio. Era más que un testigo de la creación, Éñ la creó. Jesús quien se permitió ser limitado a la carne humana y sufrir una muerte cruel estuvo en el principio como el Verbo creando nuestro mundo. Él lo hizo. Es suyo. Sin embargo, vino a morir a redimirlo. Vino a redimirnos a tí y a mí. Por eso, cuando el Verbo nos habla diciendonos como vivir para complacer a Dios ¿no te parece que debemos de prestar atencion? Aun más ¿no te parece que debemos cumplir lo que Él nos dice?
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Jesus was there. He was with God in the beginning, yet he was much more than just a witness of Creation. He created it all — there is NOTHING that has been created that Jesus did not make happen. Yes, this Jesus also allowed himself to be limited to human flesh and endured a cruel and agonizing death on a cross. This Jesus was there at the beginning as the Word, speaking our world into existence. He had made everything. It is his. Yet when humanity stained it with rebellion and sin, he came and died to redeem it. More specifically, he came to redeem you and me. So when the One who is the Word speaks to us, telling us how to live to please God, don't you think we'd better pay attention? Better yet, don't you think we should do what the Word says?
Mi oración
Santo Padre, tu plan para salvarme es una leccion de humildad. Que Tu enviaras a Jesús, el Verbo que creó el mundo que conozco, es más allá de mi entender. Que Jesús se permiteria limitarse al mundo va más allá de mi imaginación. Que muriera para que yo pueda vivir contigo captura mi corazón. Ayúdame mientras trato de vivir mi vida segun tuus enseñanzas y tu voluntad. Oro en el nombre de Jesús, el Verbo Vivo, amen.
My Prayer...
Holy Father, your plan to save me through Jesus overwhelms and humbles me. That you would send the Word, who created the world, is more gracious than I can fully grasp. That he would allow himself to be limited to the world he had made boggles my imagination. That he would die for me so I can live with you forever captures my heart! Please help me as I seek to live based on the Word's teachings and your will. In the name of Jesus, the Living Word, I pray. Amen.
