Pensamientos sobre el Verso de Hoy
¿Cómo reconocer a los seguidores de Jesús? ¿Cómo encontrar a los cristianos? Jesús dice que se amarán unos a otros tal como Él amó a los discípulos. Él estaba listo para morir por ellos en la cruz; también estaba dispuesto a lavarles los pies. Su ministerio demuestra que estaba listo hacer cualquier cosa para servirles. ¡Imaginen si todos nosotros leyéramos a los evangelios y estuviéramos listos a amar como Jesús amó a sus discípulos!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
How do you recognize Jesus' followers? How do you find Christians? Jesus said they love each other just as he loved the disciples. In the immediate context this means he is willing to give sacrificially and extravagantly by dying for them at the cross, and he is also willing to love selflessly and practically by washing their feet. His ministry reveals he will do almost anything in between extravagant and practical. Imagine if we all read the Gospels and committed to love each other in the same way Jesus showed his love to his disciples!

Padre de la Compasión y Dios de toda gracia, te agradezco por enseñarme el amor con el ejemplo de Jesús. Que mis palabras y acciones reflejen su amor hacia tu pueblo hoy, mañana y hasta que nos llevas a estar contigo. En el nombre de Cristo, mi Gran Ejemplo, oro, Amén.
My Prayer...
Father of Compassion and God of all grace, I thank you for teaching me to love through the example of Jesus. May my words and actions reflect his love toward your people today, tomorrow, and until you bring us all home to you. In the name of Christ, my Great Example, I pray. Amen.
