La "tontería" más grande de Dios es su voluntad de utilizar la cruz para atraer los demás hacia Él. A primera vista, la cruz es una herramienta horrible y fea. En nuestra sabiduría humana, nunca podríamos entender el utilizar a un hombre crucificado como criminal para captar los corazones del mundo. Pero Dios si lo hace. La cruz transciende las fronteras culturales, sobrelleva las barreras lingüísticas y atraviesa las diferencias raciales. La cruz es la demostración "tonta" y "débil" de parte de Dios. Por ellas conquista a la muerte y atrae nuestros corazones a hacia Él.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
God's ultimate "foolishness" is his willingness to use the cross to bring others to him. At first glance, the cross is a hideous and horrible tool. In our human wisdom, we could never visualize using a man crucified as criminal scum to capture the hearts of the world. But God does. The cross transcends cultural boundaries, overcomes language barriers, and reaches across racial differences. The cross is God's demonstration of foolishness and weakness (1 Corinthians 1:18-25), yet through it, Jesus conquered death and brought our hearts to him.

En este día, Padre, cuando mucha gente pasa tiempo engañándose, me impresiona tu "tontería" y "debilidad" en el Calvario de Jesús. Las palabras no pueden expresar la forma como me han tocado con su amor y como me han llenado con tu gracia. ¡Gracias! Estoy totalmente asombrado que me amaras tanto. En el nombre de Jesús oro, Amen.
My Prayer...
On this day, Father, when many people play games and tricks and play the fool, I am powerfully reminded of your "foolishness" and "weakness" at Calvary with Jesus. Words cannot express how powerfully they have touched me with your love and filled me with the assurance of your grace. Thank you! I am utterly amazed that you would love me so. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
