¿Qué es lo que determina nuestro valor financiero? ¿Lo calculamos por dólares, posesiones, inversiones? Pablo le recuerda a Timoteo que la ganancia suprema, la ganancia de valor incalculable, en realidad se determina con una fórmula muy simple: valor neto = (piedad) X (contentamiento). ¿Qué sucedería si reconociéramos que los verdaderamente ricos son aquellos que fueron piadosos en su carácter y que se conformaron con sus bendiciones en la vida?

What determines our financial worth? Do we compute it in terms of dollars, possessions, real estate, or investments? Paul reminded Timothy that ultimate gain, the gain of incalculable value, is really determined by a straightforward formula: genuine net worth = (godly character) X (contentment). What would happen if we realized that the truly wealthy were those with godly character who found contentment in Jesus regardless of their circumstances?

My Prayer...
O Lord God, the one from whom every blessing flows, readjust my values from the greed of this world to a holy set of financial convictions — true gain is found in godly character and genuine contentment. Conform my character to the godliness that Jesus demonstrated in his daily life. Teach me the contentment that can only be found in you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
