Cuando evaluamos con honestidad cómo usamos nuestro tiempo y nuestro dinero, en qué cosas pensamos más a menudo, y dónde ponemos nuestros mayores esfuerzos, ¿qué descubrimos? ¿Es Dios nuestra pasión consumidora? ¿Es Él nuestro primer amor?
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When we honestly evaluate where we use our time, how we spend our money, what we think about most frequently, and where we put forth our best efforts, what do we find? Is God our consuming passion? Is he our first love? Do we seek his presence always? God told his people, "Seek me and live..." (Amos 5:4, 6). Jesus' stepbrother, James, challenged us to "Come near to God and he will come near to you" (James 4:8). Yes, let's hear the call of David, the man after God's heart, when he says, "Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always."

Señor Poderoso, es difícil no poder ver tu rostro, sin embargo yo sé que mis imperfecciones hacen que eso sea imposible a la luz de tu increíble santidad. Hasta ese día en que al fin vea tu rostro en el cielo, dame a conocer tu presencia en mi vida mientras que te busco con todo mi corazón. En el nombre de Jesús. Amén.
My Prayer...
O mighty Lord, it is hard not to be able to see your face physically, yet I know my imperfection makes that impossible in light of your awesome holiness and majesty. Until that Day I see you face-to-face (1 John 3:1-3), please make your presence known in my life as I seek you with all of my heart. In Jesus' name, I ask this. Amen.
