Todos estamos creando un legado. La influencia de nuestras vidas dejará una impresión sobre todas las personas que el Señor haya traído a nuestras vidas. Este proverbio nos recuerda que nuestro legado permanecerá mucho después que nosotros. Si nuestras vidas son justas, el legado será una bendición continua a la medida que se cuenten la historia a generaciones futuras. Por el otro lado, si nuestras vidas han sido dedicadas a la maldad, dejaremos un olor de algo bueno que se pudrió.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Each of us is creating a legacy. The influence of our lives will leave an imprint on all those the Lord has brought into our lives for us to touch and influence. Today's proverb reminds us that our legacy will live far beyond physical bodies, and we must strategically consider how that legacy may impact future generations. If our lives are righteous, that legacy will be an ongoing blessing as stories of grace are passed on to future generations. On the other hand, if our lives have been given to wickedness, we will leave behind the lingering stench of something useful gone sour and something lasting given over to rot and decay.
Mi oración
Oh Dios poderoso, que mi vida sea una bendición para mis hijos y los hijos de mis hijos — sean hijos físicos o espirituales. Que mi influencia te glorifique y haga que otros te glorifiquen. Perdóname cuando me olvido de la sombra larga de mi influencia; ayúdame ver a los que entran en mi vida necesitando ser tocados por tu gracia. En el nombre de Jesús, Amén.
My Prayer...
Almighty God, may my life be a sweet blessing to all I influence — my friends and family, my brothers and sisters in Christ — long after my physical appearance is gone. May this be true spiritually and physically. May my influence bring you glory and lead others to know you and your grace. Forgive me when I fail to see or remember the length of the shadow my influence casts, and help me to see those you have purposely sent my way to touch with your grace. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
