اندیشه ها در مورد آیه امروز...
مسیح آنجا بود. او در ابتدا نزد خدا بود. اما او چیزی بیشتر از یک شاهد بر آفرینش بود؛ او در واقع آنرا آفرید! عیسی، که خودش را تا حد یک انسان محدود نمود و بطرزی بیرحمانه و عذاب آور بر روی صلیب جان سپرد، در ابتدا هنگامیکه کلمه سخنگوی خدا به جهان ما وجود می بخشید، وجود داشت. او جهان ما را ساخت که به او تعلق دارد. او به این جهان قدم نهاد و برای رستگاریش جان داد. اگر تخصصی تر بگویم، او برای رهایی من و شما آمد. پس هنگامیکه کلمه خدا با ما در مورد نحوه زندگی مان به گونه ای سخن میگوید که مورد پسند او باشد، آیا فکر نمیکنید که برای ما بهتر است که توجه کنیم؟ و آیا بهتر از این نیست که ما باید چنین کنیم؟
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Jesus was there. He was with God in the beginning, yet he was much more than just a witness of Creation. He created it all — there is NOTHING that has been created that Jesus did not make happen. Yes, this Jesus also allowed himself to be limited to human flesh and endured a cruel and agonizing death on a cross. This Jesus was there at the beginning as the Word, speaking our world into existence. He had made everything. It is his. Yet when humanity stained it with rebellion and sin, he came and died to redeem it. More specifically, he came to redeem you and me. So when the One who is the Word speaks to us, telling us how to live to please God, don't you think we'd better pay attention? Better yet, don't you think we should do what the Word says?
دعای من
ای پدر قدوس، نقشه تو برای نجات من، مرا تحت تأثیر قرار داده و فروتنم میسازد. و اینکه تو عیسی را فرستادی، کلمه ای که دنیای مرا آفرید، به حدی عجیب است که من توان کامل فهمیدن آنرا ندارم. اینکه او خودش را به جهانی که خالق آن بود، محدود کرد، تصورات مرا به شگفت می اندازد. اینکه او برای من جان داد تا بتوانم با تو زندگی کنم، دل مرا تسخیر میکند! خواهش من این است که یاریم دهی تا بر اساس تعالیم او و اراده تو زندگی کنم. به نام عیسی، کلمه حیات دعا میکنم. آمین.
My Prayer...
Holy Father, your plan to save me through Jesus overwhelms and humbles me. That you would send the Word, who created the world, is more gracious than I can fully grasp. That he would allow himself to be limited to the world he had made boggles my imagination. That he would die for me so I can live with you forever captures my heart! Please help me as I seek to live based on the Word's teachings and your will. In the name of Jesus, the Living Word, I pray. Amen.
