هنگامیکه سلیمان پادشاه، معبد را وقف خداوند کرد، دریافت که این خانه عظیم و زیبا و بی نظیر بسیار جزیی و کوچکتر از آن است که خانه خالق کائنات باشد. اما خدا اختیار کرد تا با افراد فانی زندگی کند. و این همان چیزی است که در زندگی عیسی مشهود است (یوحنا ۱۱:۱-۱۸). خدا مهیب و فراتر از توصیف است، مقدستر از اینکه با بشر خطاکار رابطه ای داشته باشد. با این وجود، او بعنوان خداوند انتخاب کرده است که ما را محبت کند و با ما زندگی کند تا ما بتوانیم به سوی او برگشته و در جلال او سهیم باشیم.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
As Solomon dedicated the Temple, he realized that this tremendous accomplishment of great beauty was far too insignificant and small to honor or house the Creator of the Universe. However, God did choose to dwell with mortals, and the Temple would be a special place where the Lord manifested his presence. God's dwelling among his people personally came through Jesus' incarnation (John 1:11-18). God is awesome and beyond description, far too holy to be expected to associate with flawed human beings or contained in a grand building. As God, however, the Lord has chosen to love and live with us as one of us in Jesus. God did this so that we can return to him and share in his glory. Nevertheless, the building of Solomon's Temple was an outstanding achievement and brought God great honor!

ای خدای قادر مطلق و ای پدر حاکم مطلق، تو بسیار مهمتر و بزرگتر از سخنان من هستی، سخنان من توانایی توصیف تو را ندارند و تو بخشنده تر و مهربانتر از دل من هستی، بطوریکه دل من توانایی کامل درک تو را ندارد. متشکرم برای جلالت که فراتر از درک بشری است و نیز برای فیضت که مانند پلی این فاصله عظیم بین ما را پر میکند. ای پدر عزیز سپاسگزارم برای خدا بودن تو. در نام عیسی تو را تمجید میگویم. آمین.
My Prayer...
Almighty God and Sovereign Father, you are more magnificent than my words can describe and more gracious than my heart can fully grasp. Thank you for your glory, which is beyond human comprehension, and your grace, which bridges the tremendous distance between us. Thank you, dear Father, for being God. In Jesus' name, I praise you. Amen.
