اندیشه ها در مورد آیه امروز...
اگر کتاب مقدس، داستانی عاشقانه است، پس تِمِ آن امیدواری است. مهم نیست که موقعیت های زندگی تا چه حد سخت و دشوار هستند، یا دشمن تا چه اندازه بزرگ است، گناه چقدر عمیق است، یا اینکه مردم تا چه حد گمشده هستند، یا کمدها خالی ، رودها عریض هستند، مهم نیست... خدا مکرراً به قوم خودش، برای امیدوار بودن به فردایی روشن تر، دلیل ارائه میدهد. سپس خدا اطمینان به این فردا را در عیسی، برای ما به ارمغان آورد.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
If the Bible is a love story, then its theme is hope. No matter how dire the circumstances, no matter how big the enemy, no matter how deep the sin, no matter how lost the people, no matter how empty the cupboard, no matter how wide the river, no matter how... God repeatedly gives his people reasons to hope for a brighter tomorrow. And after giving hope to his rebellious and forgetful people, God brought the assurance of that hope — that brighter tomorrow — by sending Jesus!
دعای من
ای خدای جاودانی، لطفاً درعین حالیکه مشغول زیر و رو کردن کلامت برای شناخت و دانستن حقیقت تو هستم، به من صبر و بردباری بده. من از تمام کارهای باور نکردنی تو برای رهانیدن و برکت دادن قومت در عهد عتیق درشگفتم. من یقیناً از آنچه که تو توانستی با شاگردان غیر منسجم عیسی انجام دهی، در تعجبم. خواهش میکنم ای خداوند، الهام و محرکی برای امید من باش تا از دست تو توقع کار بزرگی را داشته باشم و سپس طوری زندگی کنم که تحقق آن را توسط تو در روزگار خود ببینم. باشد که این خواسته مثل چیزهای دیگر در زندگیم، برای جلال و تکریم تو باشد. در نام قدرتمند عیسی دعا میکنم. آمین.
My Prayer...
Eternal God, please give me patience and endurance as I search your Scriptures to know and understand your truth and stand in your hope. I am amazed at the incredible things you did to redeem and bless your people in the Old Testament. I am absolutely astonished at what you were able to do with Jesus' rag-tag bunch of disciples. Please, O God, inspire my hope so that I will expect something great from your hand and then live to see you accomplish it in my day. May this, as well as all other things in my life, be done to your honor and glory. In Jesus' mighty name, I pray. Amen.
