Les femmes ont toujours joué un rôle essentiel dans l'œuvre de Dieu. Cela était particulièrement vrai au premier siècle en Macédoine et en Achaïe (Philippes, Thessalonique, Bérée, Athènes et Corinthe). Dans chacun de ces endroits, l'Evangile a touché beaucoup de femmes dirigeantes de la communauté. Nous savons qu'ils ont joué un rôle essentiel en soutenant l'entreprise missionnaire (Lydie - Actes 16:15, 40) et en partageant l'Evangile avec ceux qui les entourent (Euodia et Syntyche - Philippiens 4:2-3). Alors, s'il vous plaît, prenez le temps aujourd'hui de faire savoir à une femme pieuse de votre congrégation à quel point elle est importante pour l'œuvre du Seigneur et pour vous.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Women have always played an essential role in the work of God. This was especially true in the first century in Macedonia and Achaia (Philippi, Thessalonica, Berea, Athens, and Corinth). In each of these places, the Gospel touched many of the leading women of the community. We know they played essential roles in supporting the missionary enterprise (Lydia — Acts 16:15, 40) and sharing the Gospel with those around them (Euodia and Syntyche — Philippians 4:2-3). So please take time today to let a godly woman in your congregation know how important she is to the Lord's work and to you.
