Pensées sur le Verset du Jour...
Lorsque nous pensons que Dieu est notre juge, nous pensons normalement tomber dans le jugement. Ésaïe nous rappelle que le fait que Dieu soit notre juge signifie qu'il sera là pour nous juger en fonction de sa volonté, de sa règle et de sa grâce. Il est de notre côté et cherche à sauver, pas à condamner. En utilisant l'idiome du Nouveau Testament, lorsque nous nous tenons devant notre juge, nous voyons à la place notre Père.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When we think about God's being our judge, we normally think of falling into judgment. Isaiah reminds us that God's being our judge means that he will be there to judge us based on his will, his rule, and his grace. He is on our side and is looking to save, not condemn. Using the New Testament idiom, when we stand before our Judge we see instead our Father.
Ma Prière...
Saint et Juste Juge, je suis heureux que mon destin, mon avenir et ma vie soient entre tes mains. Je connais ton amour pour moi grâce au don de Jésus. Je connais ton désir de me sauver grâce grâce à ta grâce aimante. Je sais que ta demande de sainteté est satisfaite par le sacrifice de ton Fils. Alors Dieu, je te confie volontiers et volontairement ma vie, mon âme et mon avenir éternel. Au nom de Jésus, je prie. Amen.
My Prayer...
Holy and Righteous Judge, I am glad that my fate, my future, and my life is in your hands. I know about your love for me because of the gift of Jesus. I know about your desire to save me because of your loving grace. I know your demand for holiness is met by the sacrifice of your Son. So God, I gladly and willingly trust my life, my soul, and my eternal future to you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
