Pensées sur le Verset du Jour...
Quelle est ton ambition ? Je ne sais pas pour toi, mais je ne suis pas sûr que je pourrais dire que mon ambition est de "vivre une vie tranquille..." (Je suis parfois un peu bruyant.) Quand j'entends la raison de l'apôtre Paul pour cette instruction, je comprends son objectif en la donnant. Beaucoup de gens que je rencontre sont stressés, épuisés et exténués par toute leur agitation. Je ne veux pas vivre de cette manière ni compromettre l'influence de ma vie sur les autres, en particulier ceux qui ne connaissent pas Jésus. J'espère que tu te joindras à moi en t'engageant à calmer un peu ta vie, à faire davantage confiance à Dieu pour ce dont tu as besoin chaque jour, et à chercher à vivre une vie qui gagne le respect de ceux qui t'entourent. Je ne veux dépendre de personne d'autre que de Dieu !
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
What's your ambition? I don't know about you, but I'm not so sure I could say my ambition is to "live a quiet life and work with your hands." (I'm a bit of a loud person, but I do love to work with my hands!) When I hear the apostle Paul's reason for that command, I understand his purpose in giving it. Many people I meet are frazzled, run-down, and exhausted with all their busyness. They never acquire the seat equity and satisfaction of finishing a job with their hands. I don't want to live in a way that ruins my life's influence on others, especially those who don't know Jesus. I hope you will join me in committing to quietening your life a bit, trusting God more for what you need each day, and seeking to work hard with your hands to win the respect of those around you. I don't want to be dependent upon anyone but God!

Ô Père précieux et juste, j'ai besoin de ton aide pour ralentir et assumer mes responsabilités au lieu de courir sans contrôle et sans but. S'il te plaît, accorde-moi la sagesse et la patience nécessaires pour vivre une vie tranquille qui influence avec grâce ceux qui m'entourent vers Toi. Au nom de Jésus, je te le demande. Amen.
My Prayer...
O precious and righteous Father, I need your help to slow down and tend to my responsibilities instead of running around out of control and without purpose. Please grant me the wisdom and patience to live a quiet life that graciously influences those around me toward you. In Jesus' name, I ask it. Amen.
