Pensées sur le Verset du Jour...
Le Saint Esprit, qui vit en nous, est notre garant d'une plus grande gloire à venir (cf. 2 Corinthiens 1:22 ; 2 Corinthiens 5:5). L'Esprit est les prémices de cette gloire qui doit être révélée en nous (Romains 8:18). Notre état actuel n'est qu'un avant-goût de ce qui nous attend ; nous aspirons à être revêtus de notre demeure céleste et à être chez nous avec Dieu (2 Corinthiens 5:1-8).
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The Holy Spirit, who lives in us, is our guarantee of a greater glory that is to come (cf. 2 Corinthians 1:22; 2 Corinthians 5:5). The Spirit is the firstfruits of that glory that is to be revealed in us (Romans 8:18). Our current state is only a foretaste of what lies ahead for us; we yearn to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling and to be at home with God (2 Corinthians 5:1-8).
Ma Prière...
Cher Père, tu m'as béni de tant de merveilleuses bénédictions. Je te remercie pour chacun d'entre eux. En même temps, cher Père, j'aspire à être mis en ta présence dans la gloire comme ton enfant. La douleur et le chagrin du monde, la fragilité de mon corps et ma frustration face à ma propre vulnérabilité au péché me font aspirer au jour où ton Fils reviendra dans la gloire. Jusqu'à ce jour, aide-moi alors que j'essaie d'être ton saint enfant. Au nom de Jésus je prie. Amen.
My Prayer...
Dear Father, you have blessed me with so many wonderful blessings. I thank you for each and every one of them. At the same time, dear Father, I do long to be brought into your presence in glory as your child. The pain and heartache of the world, the fragility of my body, and my frustration with my own vulnerability to sin keeps me longing for the day that your Son returns in glory. Until that day, help me as I try to be your holy child. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
