आज के वचन पर आत्मचिंतन...
1 कुरिन्थियों 6:19-20 में, पौलुस ने हमें बताया कि हमारे शरीर हमारे अपने नहीं हैं। मसीह ने हमें एक दाम देकर खरीदा है, इसलिए हमें अपने शरीरों से परमेश्वर की महिमा करनी चाहिए। अध्याय 7 में, पौलुस दोबारा याद दिलाते हैं कि शादी के बाद, हमारा शरीर हमारा अपना नहीं रहता। यह हमारे जीवनसाथी का हो जाता है। हमें अपने शरीर का इस्तेमाल अपने जीवनसाथी को आशीर्वाद देने, खुश करने और उनकी इच्छा पूरी करने के लिए करना चाहिए। यह हमारी ज़िम्मेदारी नहीं है कि वे हमें आशीर्वाद दें, बल्कि यह हमारी ज़िम्मेदारी है कि हम अपने पति या पत्नी को आशीर्वाद दें। ऐसा एक-दूसरे के लिए त्याग करना और प्यार से बलिदान देना एक खुशहाल शादी के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है। इस प्यार भरे त्याग के बिना, हम न तो परमेश्वर को खुश कर सकते हैं और न ही अपने जीवनसाथी को आशीर्वाद दे सकते हैं।
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Paul told us that our bodies were not our own, but that Christ bought us at a price and that we should glorify God with our bodies. Once again, in chapter 7, Paul reminds us that when we marry, our body is not our own. It belongs to our spouse. We are to use our bodies to bless, please, and bring fulfillment to our marriage partner. It is not our job to make sure they bless us, but our job is to make sure we bless our husband or wife. Such mutual self-giving and sacrificial love are crucial to healthy marriages. Without such loving sacrifice, we cannot please God or bless our spouse.

पवित्र और प्रेमी परमेश्वर, क्षमा करें जब मैंने अपने शरीर को आपका उपहार न समझकर खुद को नीचा दिखाया है। मैं शादीशुदा हूँ या अविवाहित, मैं चाहता/चाहती हूँ अपने शरीर का उपयोग पवित्र और आपके मन को भाने वाले कार्यों में करूं। अगर शादीशुदा हूँ तो अपने जीवनसाथी को आशीष देने के लिए भी। यीशु के नाम में, मैं प्रार्थना करता/करती हूँ। आमीन।
My Prayer...
Holy and loving God, please forgive me when I have cheapened myself by not treating my body as a gift to you. Whether I am married or single, I want to use my body in ways that are holy and pleasing to you and in ways that will bless my marriage partner if I am married. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
