आज के वचन पर आत्मचिंतन...
शाऊल के साधारण पृष्ठभूमि और अभिजात - वर्ग परिवार के होने के कारण कुछ लोग उसे अपने राजा की तरह उन पर प्रभुता करने की बात पर सहमत नहीं थे | हम भी ज्यादातर आज ऐसा ही करते है, नामी लोगो को उनकी विरासत और अतीत के कारण परमेश्वर के लोगो का नेतृत्व करने एवं परमेश्वर के राज्य में सेवा करने की उनकी क्षमता को छूट देते है | जबकि, परमेश्वर किसी व्यक्ति की वंशावली नहीं देखता, वो हृदय को जाँचता है | अतः प्रिय अगुआ, कृपया प्रभु के करीब रहे, क्योंकि आपकी आलोचना की जाएगी | लेकिन, कृपया हर छोटी आलोचना पर प्रतिक्रिया न दें, बल्कि साहसपूर्वक प्रभु की सेवा करने के लिए अपने आप को समर्पित कर दें | जिससे वे जो अनुसरण करते है, वे किसी को भी परमेश्वर के अगुआ के रूप में शीघ्र सेवा से बर्खाश्त न कर दें, क्योंकि उनके पास महान वंशावली का अभाव रहता है | स्मरण करें की बाइबिल में जो कहानियाँ हम पाते है, उसमे परमेश्वर ने बहुत ही भिन्न लोगो को इस्तेमाल किया | अतः भरोसा रखे की वह हमारे दिनों में भी अगुवाई करने के लिए लोगो की चुनाव में वैसे ही रचनात्मक होगा |
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Some folks didn't want Saul to serve them as King because of his simple background and non-aristocratic family history. So often, we tend to do the same thing today — label people and discount their ability to lead God's people or serve in God's Kingdom because of their heritage or past. God, however, doesn't look at a person's pedigree. He searches their heart. So, dear leader, please stick close to the Lord, because you will be criticized. But please, don't react to every little criticism or slight; devote yourself to serving the Lord boldly. And to those of us called to follow God's leaders, let's refuse to dismiss someone as God's leader because she or he lacks some noble pedigree. Remember the vast variety of people God used in the stories we find in the Bible. Trust that our God will be just as creative in his choice of people he wants to lead us in our day.

प्रिय परमेश्वर, कृपया उन समयों के लिए मुझे क्षमा करें, जब मैंने आपके अगुवों के चुनाव पर संदेह किया | कृपया मुझे, मेरे झुंड के साथ हमारे बिच में जो आपके अगुए हैं उन्हें परखने की क्षमता प्रदान करें | कृपया उन्हें निःस्वार्थ एवं विश्वासयोग्यता से अगुवाई करने का साहस प्रदान करें | यीशु के नाम में प्रार्थना करता हुँ | आमीन
My Prayer...
Dear God, please forgive me for the times I doubted your selection of leaders. Please give me, along with the congregation, the ability to discern who your leaders are in our midst and not judge them on surface issues. Please provide them with the courage to lead unselfishly and faithfully. In Jesus' name. Amen.
