오늘의 묵상
사랑!! 발렌타인데이 주간이니, 진정한 사랑의 의미에 대해 기억해보려 합니다. 사랑의 동기와 표현이 없이는, 모든 "기독교" 행사는 기독교보다는 "행사"가 두드러질 뿐입니다. 사랑이란 타인들을 위한 우리 행동을 통하여 표현되는, 우리 삶 속의 그리스도의 성품과 임재입니다. 그러니 감상적인 연례 행사들 속에서 길을 잃지는 맙시다. 우리들은 매일매일 필요한 사랑의 영양소를, 분주한 관계들 속에서 잃어버릴 때가 너무 많습니다. 일년내내 쭉~ 사랑함으로써 우리들 자신이 예수님의 제자라는 것을 드러냅시다. (요한복음 13:34-35 참조)
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Love! In the week of Valentine's Day, we want to remember the real meaning of love. Without the motivation and expression of love, all "Christian" activities are more "activity" than Christian. Love is the expression of Christ's character and presence in our lives through deeds done for others. So don't get lost in the annual trip down sentimental lane. Too many of us forget the needed daily dose of love that so often gets lost in the grit of day-to-day relationships. Let's be loving year round and thus show ourselves to be Jesus' disciples. (cf. John 13:34-35)

사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 예수님 안에서 증명하신 사랑에 정말 너무 감사합니다. 예수님이 하신 것처럼 자기를 잊고, 희생적으로, 꾸준히 사랑하여 다른 이들이 제 행동을 통해 아버지의 사랑을 알게 되도록 도와주시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Loving Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your demonstration of love in Jesus. Help me to love as he did — selflessly, sacrificially, and consistently so others may know of your love through my actions. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
