오늘의 묵상
예수님께서는 하나님을 우리에게 드러내시기 위해 오셨습니다. 진짜 하나님이 어떤 모습일지 가장 선명한 그림을 주신 것입니다. 우리는 예수님 덕분에 하나님을 알 수 있는데, 그 분은 참으로 진실하신 오직 한분이십니다. 우리는 그리스도 안에 있기 때문에, 아버지와의 특별한 관계를 나눌 수 있으며 그분 안에서 새롭고 훌륭한 생명을 찾을 수 있습니다. 우리의 육신이 죽는다 해도 이 생명은 끝나지 않으며, 영원한 생명이 지금부터 시작하여 그분과 함께 매일 걸으며 영원 속으로 계속 나아갈 것입니다. 영원하시고 초월하시는 하나님께서 우리에게 자신을 드러내어 알려주신 것이 바로 은혜입니다. 예수님 안에서 이루신 이것이 바로 구원입니다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Jesus came to reveal God to us. He has given us the most precise picture of what God is like and how God would interact with us. Because of Jesus, we can know God, the only one who is truly genuine. Because we are in Christ, we can share a special bond with the Father and find a new quality of life in him. This is lasting life that won't end when our bodies die. This is eternal life that begins now (John 5:24), as we walk with him each day, and extends forever (John 3:16-17, 10:25-26). For the eternal and transcendent God to make himself known to us is grace. For him to make himself known to us in Jesus is salvation!
내 기도
거룩하시고 놀라우신 아버지, 제 삶이 예수님을 통하여 아버지와 연결되어 있음을 알고 있으며, 아버지의 임재를 영원히 기뻐할 것입니다. 아버지께서 저를 위해 하신 모든 것들과, 제 죄들로부터 저를 꺼내시기 위해 치르셔야 했던 참혹한 대가로 인해 아버지를 사랑합니다. 제가 (어머니의 태 속에서) 임신되어 아무도 저를 알지 못했던 그때에도 저를 빚으셨고 제 삶을 향한 계획을 갖고 계셨으니 사랑합니다. 무엇보다도, 하나님이시므로, 또한 자기의 자녀들에게 아버지를 알고 사랑하게끔 허락하신 아버지가 되어 주셨으니 사랑합니다. 예수님의 이름으로, 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy and awesome Father, I know that I will enjoy your presence forever because my life is joined to you through Jesus. I love you for all you have done for me and the terrible price you paid to redeem me from my sins. I love you for creating me and having a plan for my life when no one else knew I was even conceived. Most of all, I love you for being God and choosing to be the kind of Father who wants his children to know and love him. In Jesus' name. Amen.
