오늘의 묵상
하나님의 약속들은 여러 세대를 지나면서도 굳건했습니다. 그분께서는 여러 다양한 방법들로 그 약속들을 성취시키셨습니다. 악한 나라를 징벌하셨고, 그의 언약대로 이스라엘을 구원하셨으며, 예수님을 구원자와 대속자로서 보내셨습니다. 하지만 가장 중요한 것은, 예수님께서는 하나님의 백성들을 완전히 대속하시고 그의 다시오심을 고대하는 모든 이들을 구원하시려고 역사가 끝나는 지점에서 기다리고 계신다는 것입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
God's promises stand through the ages. He has fulfilled them in many different ways. He has punished evil nations, redeemed Israel according to his promises, and sent Jesus as the Savior and Redeemer for all people. Maybe most importantly for us, Jesus stands at the edge of history, waiting to return and bring full redemption for God's people and salvation for those everywhere who long for his return (2 Timothy 4:8).
내 기도
전능하신 주님, 이 세상에 참으로 불공정함이 많기에 진리와 의와 정의가 승리하기를 기다립니다. 제가 예수님의 다시 오심을 기다리고 있지만, 예수님을 모르는 많은 이들과 주님을 반역하는 이들 때문에 제 마음이 슬픕니다. 주님의 뜻이 하늘에서 이룬 것같이 땅에서도 이루어지기를 간구하는 것 외에 뭐라 달리 기도드려야 할지 모르겠으며, 또한 주님 뜻의 승리가 저를 통해서 시작하기를 원합니다. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Sovereign Lord, I see so much injustice in the world. I long for your truth, righteousness, and justice to triumph over the evil and injustice of our fallen creation. While I long for the return of Jesus, my heart also breaks for the many who do not know Jesus and those who have rebelled against your will. Please, dear Lord, may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may the triumph of your will begin with me. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
