오늘의 묵상
세례요한은 아주 훌륭한 종의 본보기입니다. 그는 그의 인생을 오직 하나의 목적을 갖고 살았습니다. 바로 예수 그리스도를 주님으로 알아보고, 환영하고, 따를 수 있도록 사람들을 준비시키는 일이었습니다. 당신은 당신의 인생에서 이것보다 더 나은 목적을 생각하실 수 있습니까? 우리의 마지막 날이 다가 왔을 때 에 우리도 역시 “그 기쁨은 제 것입니다, 그리고 온전해졌습니다.”라고 말할 수 있도록 우리의 인생을 살아갑시다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
John the Baptist is an incredible example of a servant. He lived his life for one central and controlling purpose — to prepare others to recognize, welcome, and follow Jesus Christ as Messiah and Lord. Can you think of a greater purpose for your life? Let's live so that when our last days approach, we can also say, "That joy is mine, and it is now complete," because we have prepared the way for Jesus to enter the hearts of those we love and will leave behind when our life is over.
