오늘의 묵상
십자가 처형이 매우 끔찍했지만, 예수님의 생애에서 그것이 마지막 장(chapter)은 아니었습니다. 예수님은 죽으시고 다시 살아나셨습니다. 예수님의 부활 덕분에 우리는 두가지를 믿습니다: 1) 예수님께서 그를 믿는 자들을 위해 영광스런 승리자로 돌아오실 것과 2) 예수께서 다시 오실 때에 그리스도 안에서 잠자고 있는- 우리가 사랑했던 -사람들과 함께 거하리라는 것입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
As horrible as the Cross was, it wasn't the final chapter of the Jesus' story. Jesus died and then rose again. We can believe two things because of Jesus' resurrection:
- That Jesus will return in glorious victory for those who have believed in him.
- That we will be with those we love who have fallen asleep in Christ when Jesus comes again and brings resurrection and reunion.
These two truths allow us, dear friends in Jesus, to have confident hope for our future no matter where we find ourselves or what our present circumstances may be.

거룩하시고 전능하신 아버지, 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 일으키시고 제게 당신과 함께, 또한 제가 사랑하였지만 지금은 이 세상에 없는 사람들과도 함께 영원한 삶을 살게 될 것이라는 확증을 주심에 감사드립니다. 저는 예수께서 죽음에 대해 완전한 승리를 거두시고 하늘의 천사들과 함께 영광스럽게 돌아오실 그 날을 기다리겠습니다. 예수님 이름으로 감사하며 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy and Almighty Father, thank you for raising Jesus from the dead and assuring us of eternal life with you and with those we love who have already passed from this life into the presence of Jesus. We look forward to the day Jesus returns in glory with the angels of heaven, bringing us complete victory over death and reunion with Jesus and all who have believed in him. Thank you, dear Father, for the victory we have in Jesus. Amen.
