오늘의 묵상
예수님께서 물위를 걸으셔서 제자들에게 걸어오셨을때에 말씀하셨던 것, 기억하시나요? 문자 그대로 "나다(I Am). 두려워하지 말아라."고 말씀하셨지요. 거룩하시고 위대하신 하나님 아들의 임재 안에 있을때 우리는 두려워 할 이유가 없습니다. 예수 안에서 우리를 향한 하나님의 은혜는 두려움을 걷어내 버리시는데, 이것은 예수님의 희생이 우리를 거룩하고, 흠없고, 책망할 것이 없게 만드시기 때문입니다. (골 1:21-22) 이에 대한 우리의 반응은? 사랑입니다! 우리는 하늘 아버지를 사랑합니다. 그분의 존재하심과 그분이 하신 일들과 우리를 위해 치르신 그 위대한 희생과-무엇보다도-우리를 거룩하게, 두려움을 없게 만드심을 인하여 사랑하는 것입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Do you remember what Jesus said when he walked on the water, coming to his disciples through the storm? He told them, "Do not fear, I Am." In the presence of God's holy and all-powerful Son, we don't have to be afraid. Love has reached us and saved us in Jesus. God's grace for us in Jesus and our faith in Jesus have taken away our need for fear. Jesus' sacrifice has made us holy, without fault, and free from any charge against us (Colossians 1:21-22). Our response? Love! We love our Father for who he is, what he has done, and his great sacrifice for us. We also choose to love others as we have been loved because perfect love casts off all fear.

사랑하는 아버지, 당신은 거룩하시고, 위대하시고, 영광스러우십니다. 당신의 은혜 없이는 이런 것들이 허락되지 않았을 텐데, 당신께서 제게 이런 축복을 주시기로 결정하셨고, 당신의 아들 예수의 희생을 통해 이루셨습니다. 감사합니다. 사랑합니다. 예수님 이름으로 찬양드립니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Dear Father in heaven, you are holy and glorious. These are things I could never be without your grace, yet you have chosen to give me these blessings through the sacrifice of your Jesus, your Son whom I love. Dear Father, I love you and in Jesus' name, I praise you. Amen.
