오늘의 묵상

예루살렘 의회(산헤드린 의회)에서 엄중한 경고를 받았는데도 불구하고, 베드로와 사도들은 예수님을 주(Lord)로 선포했습니다. 예수님께서 자신의 생명을 빼앗고 사역을 중지시키려던 대적들을 꺾으시고 승리하신 것을 사도들은 알았습니다. 예수님을 못박은 바로 그 무리들의 명령을 노골적으로 어겼던 것입니다. 어떤 기준으로 보더라도, 이것은 믿음의 용기입니다. 당신은 "예수님을 위해 일어서는" 전투를 어떻게 치르고 계십니까?

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Against a stern warning from the ruling council in Jerusalem, called the Sanhedrin, Peter and the other apostles proclaimed Jesus as Lord. This Sanhedrin is basically the same group that presented Jesus to the Romans to have the Savior crucified! However, Peter and the other apostles knew that Jesus had triumphed over the attempts of his enemies to extinguish him and his ministry. They chose to blatantly disobey the orders of the very same people who had Jesus crucified. By any standard, that is faithful courage. Their reason for this boldness? They had been sent by God, through Jesus, to proclaim the truth throughout the world, beginning in Jerusalem (Acts 1:8). Their actions challenge us to ask ourselves a question: How are we doing in standing up for Jesus in a culture dogmatically set against his will?

전능하신 주 하나님, 당신의 성령으로 능력주셔서 용기를 갖게 해 주십시오. 믿음의 확신으로부터 등을 돌리거나 예수 안에서의 믿음을 단념하지 않기를 원합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

My Prayer...

Lord God Almighty; please empower me through the work of your Spirit to be courageous in proclaiming the glorious truth about Jesus. I do not want to back down from my convictions or renounce my faith in Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
