오늘의 묵상
우리가 어디다 시간을 사용하는지, 돈을 어디에 쓰는지, 가장 자주 생각하는 것이 무엇인지, 최선의 노력을 쏟아붓는 곳이 어디인지 정직하게 평가해본다면, 어떤 결과가 나올까요? 하나님께서 우리의 불타는 열정을 받고 계신가요? 우리가 사모하는 첫사랑이 그분이신가요?
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
When we honestly evaluate where we use our time, how we spend our money, what we think about most frequently, and where we put forth our best efforts, what do we find? Is God our consuming passion? Is he our first love? Do we seek his presence always? God told his people, "Seek me and live..." (Amos 5:4, 6). Jesus' stepbrother, James, challenged us to "Come near to God and he will come near to you" (James 4:8). Yes, let's hear the call of David, the man after God's heart, when he says, "Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always."

오 능력의 주님, 주님의 얼굴을 피하는 것은 어렵지만, 제 불완전함 때문에 주님의 놀라우신 거룩한 빛 가운데에서 그 얼굴을 온전히 뵙는 것이 불가능함을 잘 압니다. 하늘나라에서 주님과 얼굴을 마주 보게 될 그날까지, 제 모든 마음을 다해 주님을 찾아가오니 주님의 임재하심을 제 삶 속에 드러내시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
O mighty Lord, it is hard not to be able to see your face physically, yet I know my imperfection makes that impossible in light of your awesome holiness and majesty. Until that Day I see you face-to-face (1 John 3:1-3), please make your presence known in my life as I seek you with all of my heart. In Jesus' name, I ask this. Amen.
