오늘의 묵상

주일날 교회 가서 예배 드리는 것만이 이 땅에 사는 목표가 될 수는 없습니다. 교회에서 예배드리고 개인적으로 찬송하는 것도 중요하지만 그것은 목표의 일부분일 뿐입니다. 우리의 입술과 삶, 우리의 마음과 손 모두를 통해 하나님께 영광돌리려고 여기에 있는 것입니다. 우리 주변의 세상이 사탄의 덫에 사로잡혀 있을 때에, 하나님께서는 교회에서나 개인적으로 예배를 드리는 우리들이 그분의 부르심을 듣고 "제가 여기에 있습니다. 저를 사용하여 주십시오!" 라고 응답하기를 원하십니다. 그런 후에 우리들이 이 세상에 구원의 손을 펴서 "모두의 예배" 사역에 변화를 주기 원하시는 것입니다.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Church worship is not the goal of our life here on earth. As important as corporate public worship and personal praise are, they are only part of our goal for worship. We are on earth to glorify God with our lips, lives, hearts, and hands. With the world around us caught up in Satan's traps, God wants us to hear his call in our church and private worship and respond to him, saying, "Here am I. Send me!" God wants us to enter the world redemptively, making a difference in our "public worship" through daily life in ministry and mission (Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 12:28-13:16).

내 기도

사랑하시는 하나님, 내 영혼의 반석과 피난처 되시는 주님, 제 삶 속에서 여러 경험을 허락하시니 감사드립니다. 제 어머니 자궁에서 저를 만드실 때에 부여해주신 재능들에 감사를 드립니다. 제가 주님의 자녀가 되었을 때에 주님의 영께서 제 안에 빚으신 선물에 감사를 드립니다. 사랑하는 아버지, 주님의 나라에 있는 이 선물들을 어떻게 어디에 사용하여 이 세상에 있는 이들에게 축복을 베풀지 알게 되도록 저를 도우시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

My Prayer...

Loving God, thank you for giving me the experiences I've had. Thank you for the capabilities you wove into me while you fashioned me in my mother's womb (Psalm 139:13-16). Thank you for the gifts your Spirit poured into me when I became your child. Now, dear Father, please help me to use these gifts, experiences, and capabilities for your Kingdom's sake and to bless those around me. I want to use my gifts and abilities to bring others to you, build up the Body of Christ, and bless those in need. I pray all of this in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Amen.
