오늘의 묵상

예수님의 가장 친근했던 제자들의 눈앞에서 모세와 엘리야가 예수님과 함께 등장한 곳이 바로 "변화산"입니다. 신실한 유대인들이 가장 영광스럽다고 여길만한 사건을 제자들이 경험한 것입니다. 하지만, 하나님께서는 모세와 엘리야보다 오직 한분 독생자이신 예수님을 더욱 알리고 싶으셨습니다. 그의 아들의 말씀이 가장 높은 권위가 있으면서도 하나님 뜻의 근간이 되는 진리를 담고 있는 것입니다. 우리가 새롭게 되고, 갱신되고, 회복되려면 하나님의 아들이시며 우리 주님이신 예수 그리스도의 말씀을 듣고 순종하기 시작해야 할 것입니다.

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus on the "Mount of Transfiguration" before Jesus' closest disciples. This was an incredible honor for them as faithful Jews — to see the glory of God and Moses, the great leader of Israel, and Elijah, the great prophet of God. However, God wanted Jesus' followers to know that as important as Moses and Elijah were, only Jesus is God's Son, Immanuel, God with us (Matthew 1:23; John 1:1-18; Hebrews 1:1-3). God wants us, the modern-day disciples of Jesus, to know that the Son's words are our ultimate truth and are spoken with God's authority. We must begin by listening to and obeying God's Son and our Lord, Jesus Christ if we want to be refreshed, renewed, restored, and transformed!

의로우신 아버지 하나님, 예수님 말씀이라는 양식에 대해 거룩한 배고픔을 느끼도록 허락해 주시옵소서. 그 말씀을 이해할 뿐만 아니라 그대로 살아가려고 애쓰는 저를 도와 주시옵소서. 예수님의 삶이 그러하였듯이 제 삶도 주님께 영광 돌리기를 원합니다. 오늘도 온전함과 은혜와 순종을 통해 결정을 내리거나 어려운 환경을 마주할 때에 지혜를 주시옵소서. 주 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘

My Prayer...

Righteous Father, please fuel my holy hunger for the words of Jesus. Please help me as I seek to not only understand them but also obey them. I want my life's work to passionately honor you, just as it was Jesus' passion. Please give me wisdom today as I seek to:

  • Make decisions and face difficult circumstances with integrity, grace, and obedience.
  • Live in ways that honor Jesus' righteous character, gracious compassion, and faithful lovingkindness.

In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray. Amen.
