오늘의 묵상
그리스도 안에 거하며 다른 이들을 신실하게 섬기는 친구란, 회복을 위한 멋진 선물입니다. 하지만 우리들은 인간이기에, 변덕스러운 친구가 되고픈 유혹을 받기도 합니다 — 친구들이 우리를 필요로 할 때에 잠시 같이 있어줄 수는 있지만, 그들이 질병, 슬픔, 이전의 죄나 중독의 결과들에서 오랜 시간과 많은 노력을 거치며 회복해간다면, 우리들은 그들을 기다리다가 지쳐버릴 때가 있습니다. 여러분 주변에 어떤 의미로든 과거라는 사슬에 묶여 있는 이들이 있나요? 주님께서 오늘 그 사람을 축복하라고 여러분을 부르시고 계신가요? 쇠사슬에 매인 바울에게 부끄럼 없이 종종 찾아가서 축복했던 오네시브로처럼 말입니다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
A friend in Christ who will faithfully serve others brings the beautiful gift of refreshment. Yet, as humans, we are tempted to be fickle friends — there for a bit while they need us, but often tiring over the long haul of extended recovery from illness, grief, or the consequences of previous sin or addiction. Is there someone you know who is still chained in some way to the past? Is the Lord calling upon you to bless this person today, tomorrow, or an extended time? What about blessing them as Onesiphorus blessed Paul — often, consistently, and without being ashamed?

전능하시고 상냥하신 목자시여, 그리스도 안에서 형제 자매의 만남으로서만 경험될 수 있는 주님의 은혜로운 격려가 필요한 소중한 이들이, 제 주변에 어디 있는지 알아볼 수 있는 눈을 허락해 주시옵소서. 제가 오래 참으면서도 신실하게 대하여 그들에게 회복을 선사하는 역할을 하도록 저를 성령의 능력으로 도와주시옵소서. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Almighty and tender Shepherd, please give me eyes to see your precious ones around me who need the encouragement of your grace that can only be experienced through the touch of a caring brother or sister in Christ. Please help me through the power of your Holy Spirit to be a more steadfast and faithful source of refreshment to these people you love. In Jesus' name, I ask for your help to be more faithful and consistent. Amen.
