오늘의 묵상
여러분이 어디 계신지는 잘 모르겠지만, 저는 너무 더워서 물집이 생길 정도인 곳에서 지내고 있습니다. 뭐든지 시원하고 개운한 것은 다 좋게 여겨집니다. 추수일을 할 때 온갖 먼지와 식물의 조각들로 뒤집어 쓰고 셔츠 안에는 땀으로 범벅이라면, 시원한 냉수 한잔이 여러분의 바짝 마른 목에 얼마나 개운할지, 또 끈적한 몸에 시원한 샤워가 얼마나 좋을지 이미 아실 것입니다. 하지만 하나님께서 오늘 말씀하시기를, 우리가 서로서로에게와 하나님께 대하여 믿음직한 심부름꾼이 된다면, 뜨거워 지치는 낮에 마시는 시원한 음료보다도 더 개운한 존재가 될 것이라고 하십니다. 여러분은 최근에 우리 주인의 메시지를 어떻게 전달하시고 계신가요? 그분의 사랑을 어떻게 나누셨나요? 그분의 은혜를 말해 주었나요? 그의 상냥하심을 직접 증거해 보이셨나요? 주님의 복음으로 다른 이들을 축복하여 우리 주님을 개운하게 하도록 부지런히 움직입시다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
I'm not sure where you are located, but it's been blistering hot where I am. Anything cool and refreshing sounds incredibly wonderful. If you've ever worked a harvest and gotten the dust, plant fragments, and sweat up under your shirt, you know how refreshing a cool glass of water is to your parched throat and a cold shower is for your sticky body. But God says that when we are trustworthy messengers for each other and for him, it is even better refreshment than a cool drink on a hot, tiring day. So how have you been doing with the Master's message lately? How committed are you to sharing his love, telling others of his grace, or demonstrating his kindness? Let's get busy being the coolness of snow at harvest time for our Lord and Master by blessing others with the good news of his love and grace!

하늘 아버지, 제가 아버지의 메시지를 가졌으면서도 신실하지 못했던 것과, 아버지와 복음에 대한 제 충성을 드러내는 데 부끄러워 했던 것을 용서해 주시옵소서. 아버지의 사랑, 자비, 은혜, 성품을 제 주변의 이들에게 증명하고 소통할 수 있는 지혜를 제게 허락하시옵소서. 제 말들과 행동들로 인해 오늘 아버지께 시원함과 영광을 안겨드리기 원합니다! 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Forgive me, heavenly Father, when I am untrustworthy with your message, ashamed of showing my allegiance to you, or not excited about sharing your good news. Give me the courage and wisdom to demonstrate and proclaim your love, mercy, grace, and character to those around me. May my words and actions today bring you refreshment and glory! In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
