오늘의 묵상
"나의 예수님을 여러분도 사랑한다면 일어나 외쳐요..." 어린아이들이 부르기 좋아하는 찬양의 가사입니다! 하지만 애들이 신나서 뛰노는 것 따위가 주님을 찬양할 때도 유익할까요? 성경에서 우리들에게 말씀해 주시는 것을 보면, 하나님께서 우리가 그런 부분을 잊지 않기 원하신다고 하십니다. 성경을 정독하면서 우리의 위대하시고 영원하신 하나님을 높이고 찬양할 때 시행했던 신체적인 활동들에 형광펜을 칠해 보십시오. 하나님의 이름을 아무렇게나 남용하는 이 세상에서, 이제는 교회 뿐만 아니라(사적인 예배), 매일의 묵상 속에서도(개인적인 예배), 매일의 삶 속에서도(공개적인 예배) 일어나 그분께 찬양드릴 때가 아닐까요?
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
"Stand up and shout it if you love my Jesus..." That's a song our children love to sing! But what happens to that youthful exuberance and joy at worshiping the Lord as we age? Scripture shows that God doesn't want us to lose that worshipful passion. Read through the Bible and highlight all the physical acts used to reverence and praise our awesome and eternal God. It's amazing! In a world that regularly uses God's name in vain, isn't it time we stood up and praised God — praise not only in church (our private worship) and our daily devotionals (our personal worship) but also in our lives every day (our public worship)?!
내 기도
하늘 아버지, 영원하시고 능력이 충만하신 하나님께서 제 기도에 귀를 기울이시기로 선택하신다는 것은 참으로 이해하기 어려운 일입니다. 하지만 주님께서 그 기도들을 들으시고 응답하신다는 것을 저는 압니다. 감사드립니다! 제 예배가 교회 안에서 타 그리스도인들과 함께 사적으로 드리든, 혹은 매일 개인적인 묵상과 예배를 드리든, 혹은 제 동료들 앞에서 모범적인 삶을 살아가는 공적인 예배든지간에 그 예배들 속에서 찬양받으시기를 원합니다. 주님만이 하나님이시며 모든 찬양을 받기에 합당하십니다; 제 삶 속에서 찬양받으시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Heavenly Father, I find it incomprehensible that an eternal and mighty God would choose to listen to my prayers. Yet I know you do hear them, and you respond to them. Thank you! Please be praised in my worship, whether I offer it in private with other Christians at church, in my daily personal worship, or with my public worship, as I live as an example before my coworkers. You alone are God and worthy of all praise, so please be praised in my life. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
