오늘의 묵상
하나님을 위해 사는 것이 참으로 긴급한 것인데도, 그것을 알지 못한다면 우리들은 시간을 낭비하고 있는 것입니다! 하나님께서는 우리들과 이 세상과 그의 교회를 위한 계획을 갖고 계십니다. 하나님께서 선물로 주시는 "영적인 산수법"(우리의 날을 바르게 세는 법)을 잘 못한다면 지혜의 마음도 전혀 얻지 못할 것입니다. 그런 재능은 어떻게 얻어야 할까요? 의심 없이 믿음으로 간구해야 합니다! (야고보서 1:5-7) 주님을 신뢰하면서 지혜를 구하는 것은 우리 삶을 일구어 나가는 방법에 엄청난 영향을 끼치게 되고, 결국은 낙담하지 않는 지혜의 마음을 하나님께서 주시게 됩니다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
We waste our time when we lose our sense of urgency to live for God, TODAY! God has a plan for us, our world, and his church. Without God giving us his gift of spiritual calendaring ("number our days aright"), we never "gain a heart of wisdom." So how do we get such a gift? Pray without doubting, asking for God's help (James 1:5-7). We live each day knowing that Jesus is near (Philippians 4:5; Romans 13:11) and looking forward to his return for us (Luke 12:35-40; 1 Thessalonians 5:1-11). Anticipating Jesus' return as we trust the Lord for wisdom greatly impacts how we conduct our lives and set our priorities. So, rather than losing heart, let's ask God "to teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom."
내 기도
거룩하시고 전능하신 하나님, 모든 세대의 왕이신 분이시여, 주님만이 완전한 지혜와 정의와 은혜 안에 거하시는 분이십니다. 제 삶의 여정 가운데에서 제 삶의 시각이 몇시 몇분인지, 그리고 주님께서 제가 어떤 역할을 맡기를 원하시는지 제가 알도록 도와주시옵소서. 주님께 영광돌리는 삶을 살기를 원합니다. 예수님의 귀하신 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Holy and Almighty God, King of the Ages, you alone live in complete wisdom, justice, and grace. Please help me to know what time it is in my life and the role you want me to play at this stage of my journey. I want my life to be lived glorifying you and not wasting time. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
