오늘의 묵상
이 성구를 이해하기 위해 두가지 진리가 모두 필수적입니다. 첫째, 하나님은 긍휼을 베푸시며 공평과 공의로우시다는 것입니다. 둘째, 그분께서 이런 성품들을 우리 안에서 발견하실 때 하나님께서 기뻐하신다는 것입니다. 여러분의 삶이 지향해야 하는 것은 무엇입니까? 우리 아버지를 닮아 사랑과 긍휼의 삶의 방식을 갖고, 모든 이들을 향한 공평함을 주장하며, 공의로운 성품을 보여주자는 겁니다. 왜 그럴까요? 왜냐하면, 아버지 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 것보다 더 큰 기쁨은 없기 때문입니다!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
This passage from Jeremiah reminded God's people of two truths about the Lord's character — truths we should display in our lives, as well:
- God exercises kindness, justice, and righteousness.
- God delights when he sees these aspects of his character alive in us.
Let's be more like our heavenly Father as we commit to a lifestyle of kindness, justice, and righteousness. Why? Because we should have no greater joy than to bring delight to the Father by becoming more like him in how we live and treat others around us each day!

전능하시며 거룩하신 하나님, 제 삶이 당신을 기쁘시게, 즐거움을 드리기를 원합니다. 하지만, 사랑하는 아버지, 제 성품이 당신의 거룩함과 공의로우심에 비하면 한참 모자라며, 당신께서 제게 보여주신 자비와 은혜에 비하면 제가 타인에게 보여주는 자비와 은혜는 희미할 뿐입니다. 그러니 아버지, 제가 자라나야 할 이런 영역들에서 당신을 기쁘시게 하고 당신의 은혜로 다른 이들을 축복하도록 저를 도와주시옵소서. 제가 변화되도록 도우시는 성령님을 허락하셨음에 감사를 드립니다. 예수님 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Almighty and Holy God, may my life delight you and bring you joy. However, I know my character falls short of your standards of kindness, justice, and righteousness — these qualities you have demonstrated over the ages. So, please help me as I seek to please you and bless others by living more consistently aligned with your values displayed in Jesus. Thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit, who is transforming me increasingly to be more like my Lord, in whose name I pray. Amen.
