오늘의 묵상
세계의 모든 지역과 여러 국적을 가진 이들이 오늘의 말씀 묵상(Today's Verse)을 읽습니다. 우리들의 국적과 민족적인 유산들이 서로 다르지만, 하늘나라에 속한 성도라는 것은 우리들의 공통점입니다. 하늘나라에 대한 충성심은 우리들 각자의 인종, 문화, 언어, 국가를 초월합니다. 왜일까요? 인종, 문화, 언어, 국가들을 마음대로 지배하는 악한 권세로부터 구원받은 이들이기 때문입니다. 그 악한 권세는 우리들을 분열시키고 서로를 의심하게 만들며, 서로 증오하고 전쟁하도록 이끕니다. 우리들은 더 영광스러운 하늘나라를 받았습니다. 우리들은 더욱 영광스럽고 다채로운 민족으로 지음 받았습니다! 우리들은 하나님의 자녀들이며 그의 사랑하시는 독생자 예수님의 왕국에 속한 이들입니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
People from all over the world and many different nationalities read Verse of the Day. While our national origins and ethnic heritages differ, we are members of one Kingdom. Our allegiance transcends ethnicity, race, culture, language, and nation. Why? Because we've been rescued from the dominion that holds sway over race, culture, language, and country. That dominion, the dominion of darkness, divides us and makes us suspicious of each other, leading to hatred and warfare. We've been given a more glorious and lasting Kingdom! We've been made into a more glorious and colorful people — one not based on race, ethnicity, language, social status, nation, or skin color! We are God's children and part of the Kingdom of the Son he loves.
내 기도
오 아버지 하나님, 임시적인 겉모습만 보고 서로를 갈라놓는 장벽들을 허물도록 저희를 사용해 주시옵소서. 저희들을 성품과 소망과 사랑이 있는 왕국 백성으로 만드시옵소서. 저희 마음 속에서 모든 어두움을 몰아내시옵소서. 아버지의 은혜의 빛을 우리를 통해 비추셔서 세상 나라들을 치유하는 것을 사람들이 보게 하시옵소서. 모든 민족들을 구원하시는 오직 참되시고 한 분뿐이신 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 기도드립니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Use us, O Father, to break down the barriers that separate peoples based on temporary externals. Make us into a Kingdom of character, hope, and love. Cast all darkness out of our hearts. Shine the light of your grace through us to our world so people can see the healing for what divides us. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the only Savior of all peoples. Amen.
