오늘의 묵상
저는 목회자라서 사람들의 생애에 중요한 일들이 발생할 때에 참석할 수 있습니다. 좋은 일이든 나쁜 일이든, 삶의 교차로에서 그들을 방문한다는 것은 서로 신뢰할 때에 가능합니다. 그렇게 힘들어하거나 죽어가거나 사망하는 순간들에도, 오늘의 말씀으로 인해 제 마음 속에는 힘이 나고 목회자로서의 소명을 다시금 기억하게 됩니다. 오늘 말씀에서 하나님의 약속은 이집트에서 그의 백성을 구출해 낸 이후에 시작하신 약속이며, 그들을 약속하신 땅으로 데려가심으로서 완결되는 약속이었습니다. 이제 우리는 그 말씀에 녹아있는 더 강력한 약속에 대해 들을 수 있습니다. 그 약속을 신뢰하는 것이 그 옛날보다도 지금이 더욱 합당하다는 것을 발견할 것입니다. 하나님께서 이스라엘에게 말씀하신 것을 신실하게 이루셨으므로, 이제 우리도 "주님의 거룩한 처소로 우리를 인도하실 것을 압니다" 라고 확신있게 말할 수 있지 않겠습니까?
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
As a minister, I have been privileged to be present at many of the most important events in people's lives. Being present at these crossroads is a sacred trust. In those hardest moments — tragedy, catastrophe, dying, and death — verses like this one fill my heart with strength, and the promise reminds me why I answered a call to serve in waters way above my head. God's promise in this passage is a great reminder that what he began when he redeemed his people out of Egypt, he completed by bringing them into the Promised Land. Now, we can hear a more powerful promise behind these words through the voice and writing of the apostle Paul to the Philippians.
...being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus" (Philippians 1:6).
Because of Jesus, we have even confidence to trust God's promises in our verse for today. God did what he said for Israel. Since he did it for them, we confidently say "In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling."

자상한 목자이신 주님, 매우 어려운 시기에서도 저를 이끄셨고 안전하게 보호해 주셨습니다. 이제 주님을 위하여 살고자 추구하오니 주님의 임재를 제게 드러내시옵소서. 주님의 거룩한 처소로 저를 인도하신다는 것을 진실로 믿지만, 그렇게 가는 길이 어렵기도 하고 믿음도 흔들릴 때가 있음을 고백합니다. 오 주님, 머뭇거리던 모세와 검증되지 않은 여호수아에게 그러셨듯이 제 용기를 새롭게 하시옵소서. 사랑하는 주님, 그렇게 저를 사용하셔서 다른 이들이 주님의 약속을 발견하고 주님께로 가는 길을 찾을 수 있게 도우시옵소서. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Tender Shepherd, you have led me through some tough times and brought me safely through. As I seek to live for you, please make your presence known. I genuinely believe that you are guiding me to your holy dwelling, but I confess, at times, the way becomes difficult, and faith becomes hard. Renew my courage, O Lord, as you did with reluctant Moses and untested Joshua. Then, dear Lord, please use me to help others find your promise and their way home to you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
