오늘의 묵상
평화란, 삶의 모든 행복들이 어우러져 은총받은 상태라고 오해할 수 있는 것이지만, 우리는 예수님 덕분에 영, 혼, 육의 참 평안과 행복을 누리게 됩니다. 예수님의 사람들과의 관계와 죄, 죽음, 무덤에 대해 승리하신 것으로 인하여 역시 평화를 누릴 수 있습니다! 그리스도의 영을 우리 마음에 받아들일 때에, 우리의 형제 자매들이 얼마나 문제가 있든 상관없이 함께 살아갈 수 있습니다. 바울의 오늘 말씀에서 보듯이, 우리는 그리스도의 한몸이며 서로 싸워서는 안 될 것입니다. 그러니 서로 평화 속에서 살아가시고 감사함으로 그렇게 하시길 권고합니다.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Peace — that elusive state of grace that incorporates all of life's well-being. Because of Jesus, we have true shalom — wellness in body, soul, and spirit. His relationships with others, his victory over sin, death and the grave ensures that we can have peace, too! So as we receive the Spirit of Christ into our hearts, we can live with our brothers and sisters, no matter how flawed in a state of peace. Besides, as Paul changes metaphors on us, we are the Body of Christ and of course a body does not want to be at war with itself. So live in peace with others, and do so with thanksgiving.
내 기도
모든 믿는 이들의 아버지시여, 아버지의 백성들을 사랑할 수 있는 마음을 주시옵소서. 예수님의 성품이 제 삶에 스며들 때에, 아버지의 자녀들 하나 하나가 얼마나 소중한지 알게 되어 감사드리게 될 것이며, 제 가족 중에 어려운 이들이 제 마음 속 진주를 다듬기 위한 모래와도 같다고 깨닫게 될 것입니다. 아버지의 백성 모두를 사랑하겠다는 제 헌신에 제 마음이 합당해지기까지 제게 은혜를 주시기를 기도합니다. 예수님의 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.
My Prayer...
Blessed Father of all believers, please give me a heart to love your people. I know as the character of Jesus permeates my life, I will appreciate the preciousness of each of your children more and will come to see those difficult family members as the grit out of which you will fashion my pearl. I pray you give me grace till my heart matches my commitment to love all of your children. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
