O Senhor é Deus. Não devemos menosprezar sua santidade e poder. Mas a incrível realidade da graça de Deus é esta: Deus, que trovejou no Monte Sinai e com a sua palavra criou o universo em sua maravilhosa vastidão, nos ama e anseia que nós nos aproximemos e achemos refúgio nele. Podemos regozijar em reverência. Podemos louvar com temor santo. Podemos descansar porque nossa confiança não é em nada humano, temporário ou vulnerável. O Senhor é Deus!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
The Lord is God. We must not take for granted his holiness and might. But the incredible reality of God's grace is this: God, who thundered at Mount Sinai and spoke into existence the universe with all of its marvelous expanse and intricate detail, also loves us and longs for us to draw near and find refuge in him. We can rejoice in reverent awe. We can praise with holy reverence. We can rest secure because our trust is not in what is human, temporary, and corruptible. We can rejoice because the Lord is our God!

Perdoe-me, Pai, pelas vezes em que menosprezo a sua graça com fala imprópria e comportamento irresponsável. Somente o Senhor é Deus. Só o Senhor merece meu louvor. Obrigado por ser não somente santo e poderoso, mas também por estar perto e por me providenciar um lugar de refúgio e proteção. Obrigado, querido Pai, por ser Deus! Em nome de Jesus, Amém.

Forgive us, Father, for the times that we have cheapened your grace with inappropriate speech, irreverent thoughts, and irresponsible behaviors. You alone are God. You alone are worthy of our highest adoration and praise. Thank you for being holy and mighty, near and inviting. Thank you for providing us a place of refuge and security. Thank you, dear Father, for being God! In Jesus' name. Amen.
