O que mais importa? Prioridades são importantes nas nossas vidas cotidianas se vamos ter sucesso e ser produtivos. Esta verdade se estende à nossa vida cristã também. Queremos nos concentrar no que é importante, essencial e prioridade. Paulo nos lembra do essencial: Fé se mostrando em ações amorosas. Fé que não tem ação amorosa e nem ajuda é morta (Tiago 2). Jesus quer que a nossa fé tenha expressão em serviço vibrante e amoroso.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
What matters most? Priorities are critical to our everyday lives to be successful and productive. This is equally true in our discipleship. We want to concentrate on what is vital, essential, and most important. Paul reminds us what is essential: Faith showing itself in loving actions. Faith that does not show itself in loving and helpful actions is dead and is not faith — it is dead on arrival (James 2:14). Jesus wants our faith to express itself in vibrant and loving service.

Todo Poderoso Deus, por favor, perdoe-me pelas vezes em que perdi a visão daquilo que é essencial e focalizei no trivial. Por favor, perdoe-me pelas vezes em que meus interesses e preocupações foram mais importantes para mim do que servir outros com amor. Por favor, dê-me olhos para enxergar as pessoas que o Senhor quer que eu sirva hoje, para que outros possam conhecer o amor de Jesus. No nome de Jesus eu oro. My Prayer...
Almighty God, please forgive me for the times I have lost sight of what is essential and focused on what is peripheral. Please forgive me for the times when my interests and concerns were more important to me than loving service to others and helping them with their needs. Please give me eyes to see the people you would have me serve today so others may know Jesus' love, and I can keep on target with what is essential. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
