Poder! Amamos poder. Amamos o som e a fúria do poder. Amamos a habilidade que o poder traz para realizar mudanças. Mas, o maior poder já solto neste mundo foi o poder mostrado quando o Soberano Deus reteu sua força e fúria enquanto Seu filho foi perseguido e assassinado. Ele o fez para nos salvar. Isso é uma amostra de poder incrível, e foi mostrado especialmente para nós!
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Power! We love power. We love the sound and fury of power. We love the ability that power brings to change things. But, the greatest power ever unleashed on this earth was the power displayed when the Almighty God held back his might and fury while his Son was persecuted and murdered. He did it so he could save us. Now that's an awesome display of power, and it was displayed specifically for us. Plus, we know the cross was not the end, it was the doorway to Jesus’ glorious and triumphant resurrection!

Santo e Majestoso Deus nas alturas, Te dou louvores por seu incrível força e poder. Mas, também Te agradeço por Seu amor que direciona esse poder. Obrigado por saber que sou como pó sem seu Espírito sustentador. Obrigado por ter retido seu poder para me salvar, para eu poder ser perdoado por seu poder sacrificial. Por causa da misericórida de Jesus, e no santo nome dele, ofereço esta oração. Amém.
My Prayer...
Holy and Majestic God on high, I praise you for incredible might and power. But I also thank you for your love which guides the release of that power. Thank you for knowing that I am but dust without your sustaining Spirit. Thank you for saving me by withholding your mighty power so I could be pardoned by your sacrificial power. Because of Jesus' mercy, and in his holy name, I offer this prayer. Amen.
