Jesus era perfeito, sem mancha, santo, justo e puro. Mas, se tornou o que odiava – pecado. Por que ele faria isso? Porque ele nos amou e queria que nós fôssemos o que ele é hoje, a justiça de Deus.
Thoughts on Today's Verse...
Jesus was perfect, spotless, holy, righteous, and clean. Yet he became what he hated: sin. He did that on the cross, carrying the weight of the world's sin. So, why would Jesus do such a thing? Because the Lord loved us and wanted us to be what he is: the righteousness of God. The great truth of Jesus coming to earth is that God loved us more than he hated sin (John 3:16-17). As God, Jesus entered our world of sin and death to demonstrate God's love for all people, then gave himself to make us God's righteousness. Praise God for his gift, a gift that is too great for words to adequately describe!

Todo Poderoso e amoroso Pai, obrigado por me santificar – com sua justiça – pelo sacrifício de Jesus. Obrigado, querido Salvador, por ter pago o preço tão horrífico, não apenas morrendo na cruz, mas também tornando-se pecado e carregando minha culpa. Todo louvor ao Senhor, querido Pai, pelo seu plano, e agradecimento e glória ao Senhor, querido Jesus, pelo seu sacrifício amoroso. My Prayer...
Almighty and loving Father, thank you for making me holy — your righteousness — and doing that by the sacrifice of Jesus. Thank you, dear Savior, for paying such a horrible price, not just by dying on the cross but also by becoming my sin and carrying away my guilt. All praise to you, dear Father, for your plan, and thanks and glory to you, dear Jesus, for your loving sacrifice. Amen.
